Wellington
Well what do we
say, but yes Wellington is WINDY!!!!!
Very, very windy. Our hotel
was small and comfortable but the noise factor, from Christmas Parties that
went on until the early hours of the morning, made sleeping a little difficult.
On Friday when
we arrived the city was wall to wall traffic, something we had become very
unused to. There were people
everywhere and it continued well into the evening. Saturday morning it was like a ghost town in
comparison. Supposedly most people
had retreated to the “burbs”. We
had a pleasant day, actually managing to walk around the harbour without being
blown in. In the afternoon, we
went to see The Hobbit at “The Embassy” the very theatre and the very
auditorium in which the World Premiere was held. Wow! Plush
bucket seats, 3D glasses all the bells and whistles and the movie was
great. You might notice some
Burton Hobbits in Wellington.
